Our 6-Phase Dental Implants Procedure

From your first consultation to your final restoration, we guide you through every stage of the dental implant process with clear communication, clinical precision, and genuine care. Here’s what to expect at Moorooka Dental Care.

FREE Consultation and Assessment

During your first appointment, we will review your medical history, examine your oral health, and discuss your treatment goals. We will also take an OPG x-ray. Based on the results, we will decide whether you are an eligible candidate for dental implant treatment. If you are eligible, we will create a detailed treatment plan that includes the type of implant you need, material selection, the complete process timeline, cost, and payment options.

CBCT 3D Scanning and Treatment Planning

We use cone beam CT to create a 3D map of your jaw, which helps us place the implants in the right place.

Implant Placement Surgery

The titanium implant post is inserted into the jawbone using a minimally invasive surgical technique while under local anaesthesia or, if preferred, sleep dentistry.

We start by carefully opening your gums to see your jawbone. Using your 3D x-rays, we carefully create a small space for the implant in the bone with special drills. We then carefully place the titanium implant directly into that space. We craft your implant to naturally fuse with your jawbone.

Healing and Osseointegration

Over 3-6 months, your jawbone naturally bonds with the implant through osseointegration, creating a stable, solid foundation for the restoration.

Abutment Placement

After the implant is in place, the abutment is put on, and we take a digital impression. After that, our Brisbane lab makes your custom crown or restoration.

Final Crown Placement and Smile Reveal

Once your restoration is ready, you have to visit our clinic for a trial fitting. We check the fit, alignment, and appearance and make adjustments as needed to ensure your comfort.

After this, the restoration is firmly attached to the abutment. This may be done with dental cement or a screw. Your custom restoration is secured and adjusted for a perfect fit, bite, and aesthetics. We provide full aftercare instructions and a 6-month follow-up schedule.

Dental Implant Brisbane FAQs

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are a long-lasting solution to replace missing teeth. Made of titanium, they are securely placed into the jawbone, where they fuse with the bone over time through a process called osseointegration. Once the implant has integrated, a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture is attached, restoring both function and appearance. Dental implants look, feel, and perform like natural teeth, offering a long-lasting solution for those looking to improve their smile and oral health.

At Moorooka Dental Care, we offer high-quality dental implants in Brisbane designed to fit your unique needs, helping you achieve a confident, healthy smile. Book a consultation to learn more about how implants can benefit you.

What Conditions Are Treated with Dental Implants?

Dental implants treat tooth loss, which can happen due to cavities, cracked teeth, gum disease, teeth that never develop, or teeth grinding or clenching (bruxism).

Dental implants are used to treat missing or damaged teeth. They can replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or even an entire arch of teeth.

Who is the Ideal Candidate for a Dental Implant?

The ideal candidate for a dental implant is someone in good overall health with healthy gums and adequate bone density to support the implant. Patients should be free from serious gum disease and have a commitment to maintaining good oral hygiene. Dental implants are suitable for most adults, including those who have lost a tooth due to injury, decay, or other dental issues.

At Moorooka Dental Care, we assess each patient’s individual needs to determine if dental implants are the right choice for restoring their smile. Book a consultation to find out if dental implants are suitable for you.

At Moorooka Dental Care, the cost of a single dental implant starts at $3,999. A full arch of All-On-4 dental implants costs from $19,000. The final cost may vary based on your individual needs, the complexity of the procedure, and any additional treatments that may be required.
