Want to Fill the Gap in Your Smile?

It can be excruciating to lose one, several, or even an entire row of teeth. Missing teeth only lead to embarrassment and awkwardness, both of which we try to avoid at all costs. Dental implants in Brisbane are a common solution for people who have lost teeth because they are strong and durable.

Our dental team at Moorooka Dental Care can help you bring back your smile. We are experienced in placing dental implants, achieving the best smiles our patients have ever dreamt of.

Different Types of Dental Implants

With dental team and latest innovations in dental implant technology, we provide several types of dental implants to suit your unique needs and preferences. Let’s explore some of our top-rated dental implant treatments in Brisbane.

Single Tooth Implants

Single tooth replacement with dental implants is a common dental procedure that can restore the appearance and functionality of a patient’s smile. The process typically involves the placement of a dental implant, which is a small titanium post that is surgically implanted into the jawbone to serve as a replacement for the missing tooth root. This implant acts as a strong and stable foundation for the artificial tooth that will be attached to it.

Multiple Tooth Implants

Multiple tooth implants is a dental procedure that involves replacing multiple missing teeth with artificial teeth that are implanted into the jawbone. This is typically done using titanium screws that are surgically placed into the jawbone. Once the screws have properly integrated with the bone, custom-made crowns or bridges are attached to them to create a natural-looking smile.

All On 4 Dental Implants

All on 4 is an innovative dental procedure that can give you a brand-new smile in as little as 4-7 days in some cases. This treatment is perfect for patients who have lost all of their natural teeth, or who have extensive damage to their teeth. All on 4 uses just 4 implants to support an entire arch of replacement teeth. This treatment is much less invasive than traditional dental implants and can give you beautiful, long-lasting results.

Dental Implant Procedure

Initial Consultation

The first step is to schedule a consultation with our office. During the consultation, we will evaluate your mouth and jawbone to determine if you are a perfect candidate for dental implants. We’ll also discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure.

Implant Placement

The next step is to place the implant. The implant is placed in the jawbone. Once the implant has fused with the bone, a small metal post is placed in the implant. This post will support the new tooth.

Tooth Restoration

The next step is to restore the tooth. The new tooth is made to match your natural teeth and placed on the post.

Follow-Up Care

After the procedure, taking care of your dental implants is important. You will need to brush and floss your teeth with your natural teeth. You will also need to see our office for regular checkups and cleanings.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

The cost of dental implants can vary depending on the number of implants needed, the type of materials used, as well as if there are any additional procedures needed.

Moorooka Dental Care will work with you to create personalised treatment plans, so you’ll need to schedule a consultation and assessment to get an accurate cost estimate.

Dental Implant Procedure
Approximate Cost
Single Implants (PER TOOTH) FROM $3,999
All-On-4 (PER JAW) FROM $19,000
Implant Supported Dentures (PER JAW) FROM $15,000

Dental Implant FAQs

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are like artificial tooth roots made from titanium. They’re placed into your jawbone during surgery to support replacement teeth or bridges. They’re a solid base for dental prostheses, such as crowns or dentures, which help restore both the function and appearance of your smile.

Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

Determining your candidacy for dental implants in Brisbane depends on factors such as jawbone density, oral health, overall health, and realistic expectations. When you meet with our skilled implant dentist, they’ll carefully check to see if you’re a good fit for dental implants. They’ll do a detailed assessment to make sure this procedure is right for you and your needs.

What materials are dental implants made from?

Dental implants are typically made from titanium, a biocompatible material that is accepted by the body and serves as a strong and sturdy foundation for replacement teeth. Your new teeth will be designed to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth for a seamless smile.

What payment options do you offer?

Our team is always ready to provide you with accurate, up-to-date information on the best payment terms and financing options to suit your specific needs. We’ll work closely with you and provide you with industry-expert assistance, including looking into using superannuation funds to cover the costs of much-needed dental treatment.

We also offer finance plans.

How successful are dental implants?

Dental implants have a high success rate, often well above 90%. However, success rates can vary depending on the health of the individual receiving the implant as well as the adherence to the post-operative instructions provided.

Do dental implants hurt?

Most patients report that the discomfort experienced during a dental implant procedure is less than that of a tooth extraction. You’ll be given local anaesthesia to numb the area, and most patients describe the feeling as a slight pressure rather than pain.

Will dental implants help if I have full dentures or partial dentures?

Yes, dental implants can be used to support dentures, making them secure and allowing you to eat and speak more comfortably. This is often done using an All-on-4 treatment approach.

Can I get a dental implant years after extraction or tooth loss?

Yes, you can get dental implants years after tooth loss. The primary requirement is that you have sufficient bone in the area of the missing tooth to provide support for the implant. If you’ve lost a lot of bone, you may require a bone graft before the implant procedure.

How long does the dental implant procedure take?

The length of the procedure varies depending on the number of implants needed and your overall oral health. Typically, the process involves several stages and can take anywhere from a few months to a year.

Are dental implants safe?

Yes, dental implants have a proven safety record. They are made from biocompatible materials that are accepted by the body. However, like any surgical procedure, there are risks involved, which is why it’s important to have the procedure done by a skilled and experienced implant dentist.

Does health insurance cover dental implants?

Coverage varies by provider and policy. It’s advisable to check with your insurance provider for details or contact our dentist.

Do all dental implants require a bone graft?

Bone grafting isn’t always necessary for dental implant placement, but it can significantly improve the patient’s chances of successful treatment. With the help of unique imaging technology, only your surgeon can determine whether a bone graft is required.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

The most natural-looking tooth replacement option is dental implants. If you’re thinking about getting a dental implant or want to learn more about them, we’ve compiled a list that compares the advantages of a dental implant to other options.

1. Dental implants resemble natural teeth in appearance

When an implant is paired with a prosthetic tooth, the result is entirely natural-looking. Because the implant is flush with the gum line, no one will tell which teeth are natural and restorations.

2. Dental implants work like natural teeth

Aside from looking and feeling like natural teeth, dental implants provide strength and function that other restorations cannot match. The dental implant offers stability to the false tooth because it is firmly anchored in your jaw bone, much like a natural root.

3. Dental implants can help to prevent bone deterioration

One of the side effects of losing a tooth is that bone mass around the missing tooth site begins to deteriorate. There is no longer a root to promote bone ossification and strengthening. Osseointegration is the process by which a dental implant stimulates new bone growth in your jaw. This may help to reduce future bone loss.

4. Dental implants support your facial structure

Bone loss around the mouth can cause people with missing teeth to appear sunken and aged, affecting the overall structure of the face. Dental implants can aid in the preservation of your facial structure by maintaining the strength of your jawbones.

5. Dental implants are long-lasting

Dental implants, like natural teeth, have the potential to last a lifetime if properly cared for.

6. Dental implants are cost-effective

In comparison to other restorations that may need to be replaced regularly, dental implants are surprisingly affordable throughout their lifetime. Regular dental visits can help you keep your implants, teeth and mouth healthy to avoid future problems.

7. Dental implants will not restrain you from your diet

The most common complaint about tooth loss or dentures is that people have to change their diets because their bite is weaker or their dentures don’t stay in place well enough to eat apples or steak. Dental implants are strong enough to let you maintain your regular diet with no restrictions.

Most people can eat and normally drink once their dental implants have stabilised.

8. Smile, eat and laugh with confidence

Tooth loss and wearing dentures can hurt a person’s confidence. Having missing teeth can make it difficult to smile, and denture wearers frequently express concerns about their dentures moving while speaking or laughing. Teeth implants or implant-retained dentures are held in place by your jaw bone and will not move, allowing you to go about your day confident in your smile.

9. Dental implants are simple to maintain

Implants are easy to maintain because they require the same daily brushing and flossing as natural teeth and regular dental checkups and hygienist visits. It’s a common misconception that non-organic implants don’t need to be cleaned. Teeth implants, like natural teeth, can attract plaque and tartar, gum disease, and infections if not properly cared for.

10. The results of dental implants are predictable

The placement of a dental implant in your mouth, as well as the amount of jaw bone available to support it, determine its success. Smoking, for example, can affect the success or failure of a dental implant. Overall, dental implants have a success rate of around 98%, indicating that they provide predictable results and are appropriate for most people.

Fantastic staff. I am a truly anxious patient, and the receptionist, Frances, who took my first contact call, I felt safe. Dr Reza Sunny was so patient with me, allowing me to do tapping when I was overwhelmed, never losing focus, totally understanding. Incredibly kind. Incredibly good dentist. I had cleaning, filling, and removal of a broken molar. Even though I may still get anxious I feel safe returning when needed.

This is my first time ever to have a positive comment about a dentist.
I was astonished about the successful outcome of my dental procedure. Thank you Casey and Dr Reza, what a professional and dedicated team. I mentioned to my partner about it, and we went back to the clinic and she made an appointment for herself on the spot. I do not hesitate to recommend to any one the services of Moorooka Dental Care. Thank you all for your friendly attention, starting from the reception all way to the manager. Looking forwards to see you again.

Can't thank the team at Moorooka dental care enough for an amazing friendly experience! I have now seen both Dr Reza Sunny for general cosmetics work including fillings to teeth whitening, clean up/check ups. Very good at explaining and being upfront with procedures process and Dr Zaheer who removed both my bottom wisdoms last week did an absolute fantastic job from start to finish. They even went the extra mile to call up and check up on me a few days later to see how my recovery was going. 10/10 for service and pricing. Thanks
