Why Do I Need an Endodontist Treatment?
Endodontic therapy – root canal therapy – is required when your tooth’s pulp becomes inflamed or infected. Inside the tooth, a soft tissue called the pulp contains the nerves and blood vessels. When the pulp becomes damaged, it can cause severe dental pain and infection.
A dentist with a focus on pulp therapy is known as an endodontist. During endodontic treatment, the endodontist will remove the damaged pulp and clean the inside of the natural teeth. They will then fill the infected tooth with a specific material to prevent further infection.
