The Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) provides Medicare funded dental treatment to eligible children aged between 2-17 years of age up to the value of $1000 over 2 years. At Moorooka Dental Care we bulk bill all eligible CDBS patients meaning there are no out of pocket costs to you.
Our team at Moorooka Dental Care strongly believe in this scheme because it allows us to expose children to the dental setting from a young age thereby setting them up for a life of healthy teeth without the added burden of out of pocket costs.
At Moorooka Dental Care we believe that preventative dental care is the corner stone of a healthy mouth, gums and teeth and as suchencourage patients to come see us at least every 6 months for a comprehensive check-up, cleaning and if required x-rays, fissure sealants and fluoride treatment.
We advise our patients to have regular check-ups to detect problems before they cause much larger issues which can be potentially painful and incapacitating. For example, gum disease precursors, such as bad breath and bleeding gums, recognised and treated early can avoid future pain and loss of teeth. Similarly, tooth decayidentified and treated early can avoid future pain, need for root canal treatment or extractions.
